Granite is a stone with relatively high hardness, and it is non-slip and has good decorative effect. It is suitable for floor paving. So what is the method for paving granite stone floor? Let’s find out 6 steps to install granite pavement together.
, Foundation Excavation: Level the site where granite stones need to be laid, and then tamp it. You can use a frog tamping machine, or you can use a road roller to repeatedly roll it several times to ensure that the bottom is strong, and then pour concrete as a cushion. , the thickness of the foundation layer is 150mm.
, Leveling: If the flatness and elevation of the cushion do not meet the requirements, it needs to be cleaned and then leveled with cement mortar to ensure the flatness of the construction base.
, Trial paving: After the base layer is processed in place, the granite stones can be trial paved on the top first, spliced and arranged, and then numbered and sorted. At the same time, the baseline is played, so that when the subsequent formal laying is carried out, you can refer to the numbering. The effect of laying will not be biased.
, Laying: Spread dry hard cement mortar on the base layer, that is, the bonding layer. The thickness should be controlled well, and then spread flat with an aluminum alloy ruler. Then the granite slabs can be laid on top piece by piece. Make sure to lay them flat when laying. , you can use a rubber mallet to hit it, which can make the bonding smoother. If there is a hollow sound when you hit it, you need to uncover the stone slabs, add some mortar, and then hammer it down until all the stone slabs are numbered. Mainly paved.
, Caulking: Wait until the internal mortar of the paved granite slab is initially dry and hard, then you can use cement slurry to fill the gaps, and then wipe the surface clean.
, Maintenance: After the gaps are processed, the surface needs to be covered with a plastic film, which can be better maintained. The film can reduce the rapid evaporation of water in the mortar and ensure the bonding between the stone slab and mortar. It can be cured for about 3-5 days.
