Currently, the normal thickness of slabs is generally 16mm~18mm, while thin slabs are typically 10mm. By producing thin slab stone materials, more stone slabs can be produced with less resource consumption, which can reduce costs compared to the current processing level in China, thus entering the ordinary home decoration market.
Granite thin slabs have achieved full automation in processing, with processing equipment mainly including a two-way cutting machine, a transverse cutting machine, a leveling machine, a continuous slab grinding and polishing line, and a chamfering machine.
Processing steps for granite thin slabs:
(1) Use a two-way cutting machine to cut granite rough blocks into slabs with a thickness of 10mm.
(2) Use an automatic unloading machine to transport the slabs to the transverse cutting machine, which cuts off the irregular ends of the slabs to make them rectangular, and then the regular slabs are transported to the leveling machine by a conveyor belt.
(3) The leveling machine levels the thin slabs and ensures their flatness and uniform thickness.
(4) Transport the thin slabs to the grinding and polishing line, where the first 10 grinding heads grind the slabs.
(5) Use a blowing device to remove impurities from the surface of the thin slabs.
(6) The last 4 polishing discs on the polishing line, made of lead and felt, polish the slabs.
(7) Use the transverse cutting machine to cut the thin slabs into standard thin slabs.
(8) Use the chamfering machine to chamfer, edge, groove, clean, dry, etc. the thin slabs.
